Morgan was walking out of the door, bag on her side and she was taking off her apron and rolling it up and putting it into her bag. She pulled out the rubber band from her hair and she ran her fingers through her long red hair and she pulled the band onto her wrist. Morgan was happy to be off work. It had been slow all morning and then she was away from Devin who had, that is up until now, made her laugh non stop and flirt with him. But now, when she seen him at work with hickeys on his neck and she called him out, the day just seemed to go down hill after that. She wasn't sure whether or not believe him. But then she thought about him saying that girls had fallen for his lines and she just frowned and looked at the ground as she walked, like she often did. Morgan wouldn't be another whore in his bed, another girl he could say that he bed when he walked by one. She just wouldn't be that girl. Sure Morgan wasn't really the relationship girl either, but she did have morals, and they just weren't on his level. They both lived two separate lifestyles.
She had only gotten a few stores down when she thought she heard someone yelling. She ignored it but when the sound was closer behind her and her name was called, Morgan stopped and turned around eyebrows raised and eyes wide as to wonder who was calling after her. But to her surprise, it was Devin. He was running after her, literally running. She walked a few steps toward him and that all it took before they were face to face again. "Devin, wha-" She said to him as she looked around, seen people staring at them and then she looked back at him, apron and everything still on. "Your shift hasn't ended yet, has it? She asked him taken a little aback. "What are you doing here?"

Dev’s mind was completely blank, save one thing, which was to talk to Morgan again, as he ran after her, passing by a few shops, some friends and a couple of past flames. Ugh, as if he needed any reminder of them. He paid no attention to them though, even if they waved or called him name. Their calls came upon deaf ears; he was only stopping for Morgan.
Good, she had heard him call her name, and he slowed down as she spotted and turned to him. He was breathing a bit more heavily than before, although the run hadn’t tired him much, as it had only been a short distance really. “Morgan. Hi.” He began stupidly, breathing in deeply once they were close enough. It was so unlike him to not have some planned to say, to be one step behind. “You know I don’t care about work.” He said, waving off her concern at his actions. “The only reason why I didn’t quit before was because that place was where I got to spend time with you.” He admitted, not embarrassed in the least. He had almost poured his heart out this day, so why stop now?
She looked and sounded rather shocked at his sudden appearance. Of course, who would expect the lazy man whore Dev run after some girl who just shot him down? “We weren’t finished there.” He said, motioning to Starbucks with his head. “I know you think I’m disgusting. And I don’t blame you.” He started, before realizing that quite a few people had begun to stare at them, eager to catch this little bit of gossip, this juicy new story. “But please. What I feel for you, it’s different…” He continued, despite the crowd. Although he was damn sure that it wasn’t that “L” word, it was stronger than the usual “like”. A mixture of attraction and admiration perhaps, sprinkled with others. Shaking his head, he then asked, “Are you up for a walk?” It came out naturally, as if it was the obvious thing to do and nothing weird was happening at that very moment.

As Morgan stood there looking at Devin, she expected something different when she asked him what he was doing here, other than hi. "Umm hi?" She asked him. But when she asked him about work and he told her that she knew that he didn't care about work she nodded, "Yea I do. But still." And then she couldn't help but smile when he told her that the only reason why he hadn't quit before was because she worked there. "And you haven't worked with other pretty girls before?" She asked him as she was trying to break through his facade.
Morgan looked at him as he seemed to be admitting a lot, she could tell that he was having a hard time telling her this stuff. Morgan was about to comment on that when he said that they weren't done in there. " She looked back toward her work and then back at Devin, "Really because I thought my saying have a nice day, well I thought that sorta ended the conversation." She said as she looked up at him. Morgan was about to say something else and he cut her off as soon as she opened her mouth to speak. He said that he knew what she thought about him and that he felt differently about her. "Yea, I do think that just by what you told me today." She said. "Well, I'd like to think that you'd feel differently, but I have yet to see that." She told him and then he said it so plainly, he asked her if she wanted to go for a walk. Morgan looked around her and some people were still looking at them and then some people were getting over the fact that a random guy was just running through the mall. Morgan looked back to him, "Umm, well sure." She said as she went to turn to walk. Looking to her side to see if he was still here. "So did you need to tell me anything else?" She asked him as she looked in some windows of stores.
