Dylan Cole Tyler!?
The names Cole. I’ve been a convict for twenty-four years, since the day of November 22nd. Let me warn you, I’m pretty bad ass, being a University Student and all. So remember to watch out for me, though it may be no secret that I fall on the side of bisexual.
Cole's real name is Dylan Tyler, but he often introduces himself as Cole Tyler, because he was named for his father who is a wealthy businessman back in his home country of Italy. Though he is not completely sure the name would be recognized here in the States, he still avoids association with that name. He believes he will have rights to it soon enough.
He is the youngest of four siblings, two older brothers and one elder sister, and so is last in line concerning any inheirtance from his family, and indeed, last when it comes to his father's attentions. Because of this he does not have a very close relationship to his family, except his sister. His father runs several companies, a few of which are a bit iffy on legality, and so, for protection, he travels with a bodyguard, whom he is perpetually trying to lose.
In his past, he was very bitter about his role in his family, since he believed that he would always just be known as the 'youngest Tyler boy'. However, after watching his family, with his usual caculating way, he has come to believe that he can upsurp his elder brothers and even his father, eventually, when it comes to business management. To that end, he's come to the States, in order to further his goal. Despite his treasonous plots, he is still very polite to his elder brothers and father, and does in fact love his sister.
Cole is a very sly and calculating person, with a sharp intellect and a great amount of foresight. Every interation he has is weighted for the benefits, and he often catalogs the people he meets in order to judge their importance. He is very charming and polite to people he believes can benefit him, and generally indifferent to those who can not. His motto is 'use whatever is at hand, be it friend or foe' and he does. It's very hard to figure out if he is lying or not, and he never seems to let on all that he knows.
On the other hand, it is possible for him to see benefits in other things. He is recently coming to realize that seeing things from a personal level rather than a business level may come in handy - because of this he's been trying to do mor things with a personal benefit. Sometimes, he can even do a few selfless things as well, though he usually dismisses that notion. Strangely enough, because Cole hides his usual cunning nature, he actually shows more of his evil side to his closer friends. Also a bit more sensitive as well.

Brick glared at the textbook, as if he could somehow intimidate the annoying object into surrendering all of its information to him. If it wasn't for the whole "reading" thing, Brick thought he might actually enjoy school. Learning curses and hexes was fun, even if some were a bit useless, and seeing all of those animals in Care of Magical Creatures was pretty amazing. But, this reading stuff? Nah, that was way too boring.
Exactly how was reading about Transfiguration gonna help him actually do it anyway? It wasn't like writing a 12 inch essay on turning pots into pigeons was going to somehow give him the ability to do it. Theory was just pointless, things should be done, not thought about.
With that thought he shut his textbook. He felt almost like he'd somehow defeated it. Even if he ended up with a Troll grade, it would still be better than having to figure out all those words and what the hell they meant. He'd never been a very strong reader, and it didn't look like that was going to change anytime soon. Now that he was "finished" with his homework, looked up and around the Common Room. He was actually kind of eager to move onto something else. After all, he just got through the worst part of his day. Things could only get better at this point.
